Festival programme 2024
new music and contemporary circus 6 to 9 june 2024
For this year’s festival, Kaukonen village will be overflowing with a multifaceted range of performances. Festival events will be spread throughout different parts of the village on both sides of the Ounasjoki river.
The collaboration between circus and music has resulted in several different works, which the festival audience will see on stage for the first time. Four circus pieces and five new compositions will be premiered at the festival, all of which have been commissioned by the Silence organisation and its partners. The village’s characterful spaces, in which the pieces have been conceived or adapted, also take a leading role in the performances.
