Tämä on tarina. Kahden kepin välissä narun varassa pyörivä diabolo on toinen tarinan kertojista. Toinen kertojista ja espanjalainen Carla Carnerero, joka on tehnyt tätä teosta varten pitkällistä tutkimustyötä diabolotekniikoista. Ensisijaista on kuitenkin tarina, joka pian kerrotaan.

Tropismo on Carla Carnereron sooloteos, jonka lähtökohtana on inhimilliset sisällämme piilottelevat tunteet sekä ympäristömme synnyttämät aistimukset. Tunteet ja kokemukset imeytyvät kehoomme ja tulevat ilmaistuiksi kehomme kautta. Ne muodostavat tarinan, jonka voimme kertoa kehon liikkeillä ja eleillä, jotka vain toinen ihminen tunnistaa.

Tropismo on on Hiljaisuuden tilaama sirkussooloteos, jonka kantaesitys nähdään Hiljaisuus-festivaalilla torstaina 6.6. klo 20 Kaukosen urheilutalolla. Teostilausten sarjaa on tukenut Taiteen Edistämiskeskus.

This is a story. The diabolo spinning on a string between two sticks is one of the narrators. The other narrator is Carla Carnerero from Spain, who has done extensive research on diabolo techniques for this work. Most importantly, however, is the story that will be told.

Tropismo is a solo work by Carla Carnerero, which examines the human emotions hidden inside us and the sensations generated by our environment. Emotions and experiences are absorbed into and expressed through our bodies. They form a narrative that we can tell with body movements and gestures only recognised by another person.

Tropismo is a circus solo piece commissioned by the Silence Organisation, which will premiere at the Silence festival at 8pm on Thursday 6th June 6 at Kaukonen’s Sports Hall. This series of commissions has been supported by the Art Promotion Centre.
